It can be fitted at the top and the bottom of a door (or both), and can also be installed horizontally for applications such as seclusion rooms when reinforced locking is required. The Single Swing Full Length Anti-Ligature Geared Securahinge is a continuous hinge that is designed to reduce the risk of ligature and self-harm. It features a sloping cap and specially designed bearings, which removes the gap between the door leaf and frame that can be found in butt or piano-style hinges. It opens up to 180 degrees in one direction, making it suitable for applications where the door needs to fold back against the wall.
